New Visions Inc. of Franklin & Fulton Counties was incorporated in 1982 under the sponsorship of the United Churches of the Chambersburg Area. At the time, board members saw a need for a supportive housing program for several of its congregations' families who had adult children with chronic mental illness. New Visions began operations by opening apartment units that could serve both as full care and moderate programs for up to 16 people. Since those early years, New Visions has grown to become a provider of services to adults with chronic mental illness in Franklin/Fulton Counties and Cumberland/Perry Counties serving over 150 people. New Visions offers a variety of residential services and a member run social rehabilitation clubhouse program. New Visions is certified as a Community Housing Development Organization and has renovated several homes in these communities. The development of these programs have enabled our organization to provide consumers with safe, decent, and affordable housing.
